it seems that everytime I go on long trips w/ the x the light that looks like a engine comes on. I just got back from a trip to louisiana(1200 miles one way). I have no idea why this is happening. it has come on before. it seems when I am on the freeway. and Idea's?

Get it scanned for codes and post the codes here, i will tell you what they mean.

where should I get them scanned at? and btw I have seen that you offer some products for the excursion. what do you offer and what is the cost? thanks

a lot of people go to places like Autozone for a free scan. Some Autozones have stopped this service in certain citys. I cant believe a good repair shop can live and exist without a scanner. I have recommended in the past that all of us guys with diesels buy a code reading tool (Autozone and like places) have them for sale for about 200.00. Think about it. Scan your own truck and post the code here or any good diesel website and people will come out of the woodwork to help you. Money well spent IMHO. You can then go to your repair shop in most cases and know if they are selling you something you dont need.
As far as the products thati sell; i am going to work with Eric Long on a web site and advertise here. I can sell you anything you want at probably a better price than most. My specialty is transmissions, but my expertise is gainig every day because of the people i know.
