After a visiting this great site for some time it was time to buy a PSD X and join. The suv is actually my wifes and is replaceing her 95 Bronco with the gas guzlin 5.8.
After putting 80 miles on the thing I am very impressed. It is quiter than my 99f250 psd 4x4 and handles way better.
The X is the cheapest one I've seen so far at a dealership. It's black with the tan leather heated power front seats. It is fully loaded minus the flip down tv system. It's got some miles 104,000 which is lower than most other X's priced in the low $20's. We got this beast for only $18,999 with new good year wranglers. The build date is 12/99 and has the 3.73 limited slip.
Are there any conserns I should have with this suv that are different than my truck? My truck has 135,000 miles and runs like a top.

And welcome !
I'll let owners with more miles on theirs respond.... I've had a '02 7.3L X and no have an '03 6.0L X
The '02 ate a tranny and Ford 'gave' me a replacement 03 which I love....
But sound slike you got the deal of the century, mine is costing me a bit more, but I still love it!

Ford said there was no major work done to the truck regarding the motor or transmittion in or out of warranty. I guess it's the original transmittion with 104,000 miles. If it does go it will be a trip to Arkansas to buy one of the indistructable ones. The trans. seems good in it. A fluid change will be done soon for the heck of it. I guess the previous owners had land a couple hours from there house so it's mostly high way miles. The dealer said they traded for an 04 6.0 PSD X.
Does anyone know if any X's came with the 6 speed?
Did Ford give you a torque shift trans. for your 2002, or give you a brand new regular 2003 trans? Either way you made out good. Usually it's rebuilt ones unless your truck is the same year as it is. How acurate is the overhead mpg read out? There is no chip or any mods for that matter. The suv came with the tow mirrors even, but there not the extending ones, any others have these? At least there heated though!
Now things to be carefull of are, ball and u joints, rotors, and callipers up front?
