Hi.
I read the article on the FAQ page about the cup holder swap, and have bought the replacement part. But before I go rippin' and tearin', can anyone confirm or deny that no disassembly of the console (i.e. removal of the CD changer) is required? Do I just "grab and yank" or is there a little more subtlety involved?
Any help appreciated!
Matt

First, look at the new one on its mounting points. I just yanked the old one out after looking at the new one.
Good Luck

"FAQ page about the cup holder swap" ??? We have a FAQ page here? Where? And what is this cup-holder swap thingie of which you speak? I'm obviously ignorant of both subjects.
Thanks,

The 2003 and up cup holders are deeper than 2000 and 2001`s.You are Lesslikely to dump that big gulp on the floor l. I do believe it`s a yank and switch kinda mod. I did mine along time ago, just look at the mounts. Hey, where`s this faq`s page............

In my 2000 it just pops off when pulled straight up. Mine was nasty when I bought the X, pulled it off and ran it through the dishwasher.
