I have a set of Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs on the stock rims and they slip. Has anyone else had this problem? I always mark my tires to know if they ever slip. This set slipped after a 5 mile drive home from the tire dealer. They say its not possible. So I go back and show them. They rebalance and away I go again. I get home and they've slipped again! I have been back many times for rebalancing but after 14 months and 13K miles they are still slipping and are 75% worn out from all the out of balance miles. I have read all the posts on this and other sites and although I have read about many people having balance and vibration troubles I have not read anything about slipping tires. I believe a lot of the problems owners are having have to do with tires slipping and nobody is catching it because most owners don't mark there tires. My original Firestone Steeltex ATs did not slip once in 39K miles. I need a mud tire with good puncture resistance so I went with the MT/Rs. Other than the slipping I am happy with the tires and Goodyear is willing to sell me a new set at about half price but I don't want to go through this trouble again. Does anyone have any experience with gluing the tires to the rims? I know a lot of the CJ5 guys do that with these tires but I cant find anyone that's done it. I need to know what type glue to use. Goodyear says they can do it but I don't think they know what glue to use ether. Thanks SRO2000X "I love my truck!"

I dont know to much about this but the rims are 16" right? Could the tire possible be for a 16.5" rim??? I have 16.5" rims on my X but didnt know if this is possible for the tire being 16.5" on a 16" rim....

No they're 16s.
I remarked them today. Lets see how long it takes to slip again!
Update: Goodyear is installing a new set of 285/75R16s MT/Rs.
They say they get reports of slipping tires and think I just got a bad set.
Well see....

Maybe thats why my BFG's need rebalancing every 15k miles. 265's KO with 52K miles on them. Wearing good except inside treads, may be able to get 60 - 65 k out of them. Why do you need mud tires?
