how do I know what gears does my X have? and what is this I hear about changing my gears to make up the power I have lost from the lift? and what do I have to do to change my gears? How much does it cost to get it done? I have a V10 with 9in. lift with dual FOX shox and 36" Mickey Thompson mudders.. thanx

With 36" tires, you could go with a 4:56 but rings get weaker as they get more teeth and generate more heat. Be careful if you are doing any heavy towing.

A full set of gears and kits, gaskets and fluid will probably run about $600.

Labor can range anywhere from $300 to $1000 depending. You don't want just any shop to do this either.
