Does Gold coolant need the "vitamin shot" or do you leave it alone and change it every 2 years??

The manual is very confudsing on the FW-16 "booster shot"!! I interpret that ONLY the green coolant needs this NOT the Gold. I sthis correct????

Next question: How do you drain, flush and bleed the "tail gunner" rear heater core? This looks like a nightmare!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and thanks for so much good advice!!!

I had the same question, and I think I have found the answer. Look at the bottom of page 45 of your Powerstroke Diesel supplemental manual, and it says: "do not use this additive with yellow-colored collant meeting ford specification WSS-M97B51-A1." I sure hope this means we don't have to mess with it until the 100K change listed on page 33 of your scheduled maintenance guide.

Check out this tech bulletin link: http://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/2003/5.php
It says it does not need the booster. Very informative article.

I do not pretend to know how to do the rear heater core. but if you find out please let me know!!
