2000, 7.3, 4X4, 150,000 miles. Not sure when last brake job was done as I have ony had for 20,000 miles. Very bad chatter, shaking when applying brakes, not pulsating. Pulled front to replace roteors and pads and caliper pins were frozen. Had to almost chisel them out. Am now replacing caliper pins and brackets along with rotors & pads.

Anyone with ideas of why the sticking pins??

No idea as to the cause but it sure seems to happen often. Had it happen on my '89 Suburban too. Perhaps intrisic to disc brakes?

My pins were in great shape and nicely greased when I did my rotors and pads. Could be the rubber seal is leaking on some of them.

Dave.
