Does the system separate functions...I mean can the kids watch a DVD while I have a CD or the stereo on? David mentioned steering wheel controls in his post so I'm wondering what it all controls and brought me to the questionI post here. Thanks much. Ed |

Yes, the controls are separate. The rear passangers can watch the DVD and listen to it on headphones while the front speakers play a CD/fm/am. Very nice feature, wish I would have realized it a little sooner. |

nelic88..thanks for the reply... I'm trying to determine whether or not to get the factory system versus an after market set up. |

I had a aftermarket system in my 2000 (8in monitor) and it was pretty good (wanted to bump up to the 10.5 inch version) ... New truck has the factory unit installed and I have to admit the clarity is AWESOME, kids love it (it is television while riding, so thet really don't care about the size).. Even though I have seen a few posts about not being able to add on, i.e sunvisor monitor, etc I have no complaints about it
