Anyone ever used this on they're X 7.3 diesel? How hard was as I hear it can be difficult if you have the keyless entry? What were your impressions? |

Super Chips Micro Tuner is very easy to use, unlike chips it will not void out the Warrenty as long as you De-programm the vehicle before taking it in for service. also the new tuners have the functionality to read codes that are put out by the ECM. I do like the ability to program and de program the vehicle at a whim. Flip chips are nice also as they can be changed while on the go, however I have heard of more people with no-start conditions due to a "bad seating" of the chip. |

Hey my local truck performance shop wants $450 for Supertuner Microchip, and I see them on the net for $391. Question is, think it is worth the extra $50 to buy local and be 'his customer' for future questions or problems/reference???

did I let my SCMT go for too little money !!!
or have they gone up in price that much ???
You might look in the Ex classifieds hee - I think someone has one for $175..
And by the way, that was the second best upgrade I did to my 7.3L Ex oter than the Hellwig sway bar....

I'll look on the classifieds here..$175 seems MUCH more managable!
Tell me more about the Helwig swaybars...that is one mild complaint, the sway-effect on my '01 Ex.
I'll also do some research on it. I'll have to find someone to do the install because I don't have the time or the mechanical ability, so would love to know what's involved, etc.

Gearman Mike is a good place to go, also look at dieselsite.com.
BE VERY CAREFULL buying by classifieds or ebay as these chips are programmed to your ECM. If an incorrect chip is installed you will be spending an additional $1K for a new ECM complements of FORD.

I guess you do have to do the old "Caveat Emptor" even on THIS site too...
There's so many devious people out there... But I've bought and sold a few things off the classifieds here at Super ford and not had a problem...
after a bit you get to know the good guys that have been around...
The Hellwig is the sway bar of choice from what most say... I loved what it did to my '02 Ex...
Horrible instructions with it, but if you're like me go to a 4x4 shop and pay someone $40 bucks to install it 
I did some research to find the best price, called JC Whitney and they matched my best price, gave me 10% more off and free 3 day shipping...IIRC it was less than $130...
Made the Ex like a sports car ! Well, not exactly... but MUCH betta !

I called JC Whitney today regaring the sway bar for my X and they couldn't find it. They only stocked for the F150? Do you have the stock # and did you do front and back?
