was wondering if anyone has used them on their excursion? thinking of buying some new rims and tires and would like to have more choices than just the 8 lug style. |

Well, it used to be that all 8-lug wheels were interchangeable, regardless of make, until Ford came out with this weird 130mm bolt circle mess. So, you may be more limited than you first thought in regard to wheel selection. In any case, my advice on wheel adapters is simply to stay clear of them ... especially on vehicles that weigh as much as these do.
I've seen only one manufacturer make what appears to be a sufficiently hefty adapter to suit the SuperDuty series ... but his adapters are to go from your 8-lug single-wheel to an 8-lug dual-wheel configuration.

Most 5-lug wheels do not have the required weight capacity. |
