Thanks to all who responded to my earlier posts. Anyone want to share their thoughts on fabtech 4" lift? I was quoted a price of 1500.00 for the kit and installation. Will I need anything additonal?(Stabilizer) What can I expect post install? Ride quality, gas mileage etc. I am planning to keep the stock wheels and tires. Is 4" going to look bad with oem wheels? My mpg has been 16.2 with the v8, 90% highway. What other neat upgrades should I consider?
Newbie needs advice.
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot speak for the ride quality. I imagine they use block in the rear? That won't make a huge difference, although the axle wrap problem will be worsened. New front springs may be a higher rate than before. Which could mean a harsher ride.
New shocks come with the set-up?
I would really begin to look to wider rims and tires. The stockers are fairly wimpy in size. By raising your truck 4" the top heavyness of it will be even more pronounced. Wider tires will help offset the instability caused by the lift.
In fact, lift kits are made mainly so that the owner can then run larger tires. The fact that you aren't is...well...odd.
Since you have the 5.4L V8 and you asked of other mods, I would be looking for a new exhaust. Maybe a full cat-back or maybe just a muffler But nevertheless, the sound of that V8 should be unleashed. It should match the new 'look' you'll have!

Ken- thanks for the advice. I'll look into the exhaust. Maybe I'll just do a different whhell and tire combo and leave the lift out of the equation for right now. Or maybe I'll go nuts and go for the lift, tires and ...............
