hey y'all! I'm the annoying guy who wrote the post on new toys!!
anyway. I had mentioned before that I was sending the x in to have some warranty work done. I've got the truck back...and here's what the doc. said!
well...the problem first! On a cold start, the truck would take 10 WHOLE SECONDS OF TURN OVER TIME TO START!!! then it would die. In a sctretch of about 2 mls, it died 4 times. Then it wasn't shifting out 3rd until way late! Running the rpm's on a diesel...not a good idea!
solution... reflash of motor computer and tranny computer! they said it got scrambbled somehow.
MY QUESTION!!! ALAS, THE BOY STOPS TALKING JIBBERISH! How does a computer in a vehicle such as ours, get scrambbled? Probably the cell phone theory...microwaves...lol

Did you just have the baby's engine washed? Undercarrige wash, recent lightning (electric) stom?
Ultimatly a problem like this come down to a power surge on the the truck, either a static build up or a water in the wireing harness and ca-blewy.
My radio one day just decided to die and I was told the cause was a power surge from the truck.
Mabey Ford created a slew on Christine X's?
How is the X running now?

well, lets see. The X went through a complete detail a couple of weeks ago. Went hunting, so the engine got degreased and cleaned. I manage a detail shop in town, so the engine is always cleaned.
It had been raining here for a couple of weeks. Yeah, we kinda had a lightening storm, but not really. X traveled in snow last week! Dont know.
Anyway, It runs like a ford, PERFECT AND STRONG! Runs like it did brand spankin new!
