I have decided to by a 04 x eddie with v10 take deliver thursday. the wife is worried about a bigger than normal loss due to production stop. I Have had GM Suv's with about a $5000 loss per year. I think I got a good deal on the X has the dvd heated seats and tow mirrors sticker was 47200 I got it for 38500 they gave me 20000 for my 02 yukon XL which is 3300 more than than Kelly blue book. I'm going to use the x as a everyday driver about 15000 miles a per year lookin for input |

I Thought I read somewhere that production ws going to be halted after the 2004 model year but has been extended through 2006. Anyone have any "official" details.

FMC said production would continue through 2006. They were selling 3,000 units / month, current sales are running 2,000 units / month ... and they'd still be making a healthy profit if sales dropped to 1,000 unit / month (making $10K per unit BEFORE it reaches the dealer). It will be around awhile ... and then its value "should" increase unless something comes along to surpass the Mighty-X. |

Not only will the new SuperDuty hurt sales, but so will the extended Expedition they're supposed to be coming out with. I wish it weren't true, but I don't see production going any further than 05 or 06. Even then it'll be pretty low numbers coming off the line. |

I don't know why you guys talk so negatively... I believe the X can hardly be compared with a pickup. I had an F250SD PSD before I got the X. I wanted an X so I could haul people but also haul my Jeep. If anything, I wish I had both the X AND a pickup.
