We just returned from the mountains today and I even got to use 4x4 in the snow for the first two hours on the drive back. Living just north of Atlanta, I have driven in snow once in the last seven years.

I purchased back in August and love the X (2000) ... but it has done this and it has me baffled. Starting at about 61 mph up to 65 mph the front end has a vibration. It stops when you are not in that MPH range? The shocks seem OK, but how do I test??

I priced new shocks Rancho 9000 with electronic control and steering stabilizer shock for a grand total of $1,200 (installed). I did not jump on the deal.

Any suggestions?

Then drive at 80 mph and don't worry about it

but seriously folk...
I'll bet you're having the same thing I'm having...
the PITIFUL stock shocks are not up to handling the large tires we have and they tend to 'bounce' down the highway causing 'cupping'...
run your palm along the tire and see if there are undulations as if one tread block is hitting and the next is missing !!!

cure:
rotate your tires AT LEAST every 5K miles,
change the shocks to handle the load...

good luck...
