I have never noticed this before. I'm worried that something is failing.
When traveling at freeway speeds, I step on the gas and the tackometer (and engine RPM) will jump up about 400 RPM's, it hold there for a second or two then it drops back down. The trucks speed will not change much, just a slow acceleration, It does not match the RPM change of the engine.
It feels like it's slipping for a second. I read about Torque Converter lock up? Does the 2000 V10 have a lockup converter? Could this be related?

All 4R100s have a lockup TC.
When was the last time you changed the fluid and how many miles do you have on your truck?
HEY! I answered you on FTE already!
