Gearman...
please take this in the manner it is intended...
but are you MAD at us rookies trying to figure these trucks out ???
It's just a hobby for us and I, for one, support my hobby with other skills...

the tone of your post has changed....

I KNOW you have a lot of experience and info based on previous post...
and have appreciated your post many times before, and STATED such...
but just wondered if we've done something to offend you !?!

I doubt I have...
but just like the reparations movement,
I guess I'll have to pay for what someone else did

If so, apologies, Sir...

Have a good one guy...
and be patient with and not mad at us "rooks"

I am truly sorry if my tone sounded wrong. there is no excuse. I have been asking a lot of customers lately what they think they gained with any kind of intake mods on their diesels and their answeres were the same as mine. Nothing. Did i do the Zoodad mod? yes. Will i continue to do the same things as you guys (trying everything and almost anything)? Yes. But, i will report it honestly. Once again my apologies, i will now take myself into the closet and do penance.

regards, mike

Mike, I appreciate your honesty on this matter. I'm partly relying on the expertise of this form to base my decisions on truck mods. That’s why I paid my dues and joined. Thanks again!

JohnBoy, Thanks for looking out for us little guys! It’s tough being a green horn and learning the ropes , but fun nonetheless.

Cheers

Dude !
I only point it out to you because I hear it too many times...
"It's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it !!!"
So sorta sensitive to that
And just like attending AAA, we have to repeat those things to help it sink in !!!

We be cool !
or is the new thing
"It's all good"

And please keep your expertise coming !
It's just nice that we can have fun and games with these things
we're all rooks in some venues

After a pile of reading and plain old brain bashing I've decided to pass on the ZOODAD mod. It would appear from this thread and others that the ZOODAD maybe helpful with the V10 but the PSD air intake is hugh and does really require this mod. Not only that, but the air intake is very close to the front grill where the hole would be created. I would hate to suck "tweety" into my air box. With a fresh fuel filter the 6.0L PSD kicks ass and pulls hard. Maybe a programmer is what the doctor ordered JohnBoy any feedback on the programmer your using with your PSD 6.0L?

Cheers

I researched this idea a lot and it was clear that it was the V10 (gaser) that mostly preformed this mod. I have a PSD and passed on doing this mod.

Maybe some of the V10 guys can help out....Birdman did this mod help you? Do you notice any difference?

Cheers

OK i THINK it helped!!!! Reason.....I created a hole for the air to go almost directly into the snout of the air intake tube. Also the air will be MUCH cooler. I will get you all either a link or will post my what to do this FREE mod.
