Which Excursion is better:6.0 or 7.3 ? (considering New York city driving)
especially whatever is related to mileage per gallons VS power.
Any suggestions would be very helpful. |

I wouldn't drive an Excursion is NY City if I could help it. They have their place and NYC is not one of them. I would go with Expedition for your application. If you really have to have an X, I wouldn't get a 6.0 or 7.4, you will be much better served with a V10.

I beg to differ. I drive my 7.3l Excursion in NYC all the time and it is great! I guess it really depends on if you are looking new or used. At this point I think you can only get 6.0s on new ones and its goign to be hard to find a used diesel around here let alone a 6.0. |

The question was New York City - not Long Island. You drive in uptown - downtown NYC every day or once a week? Big difference.
I wouldn't consider it, but then I wouldn't consider living anywhere near NYC either. I was offered a very good position there five years ago and did not think for one second before declining. I'll stay in the southeast thank you.
