Well my truck is in the shop. Initial estimates were $4500. (All OEM parts, too!!)

I decided to have them get an XL Super Duty grill and front bumper and paint it to match the rest of the truck. I've been drivin' this No Boundaries (what's the new name for it??) edition Excursion and it has really grown on me.

One of the front wheels has to be replaced because the lip got really bent so I may upgrade to 17X8 wheels with Nitto tires. Yum! I'll throw some new Hella 550's on the bumper again and head west!

Woo-Hoo! I can't wait. I think the truck should come out looking pretty sharp.

Ken, what are you going to do with your current SD grill?

It's a little FUBAR on the left side. Not sure if you'll want it or not. Upon first look it appeared to be intact but a closer inspection revealed damage. Bummer... Now I gotta do the Poolman mod all over again...

(The "Poolman mod" is taking stainless steel gutter screen and cutting it to fit behind each grill opening and then securing it with zip-ties. It stop LOTS of stuff from clogging up the condenser and radiator and prtoects it from stones, rocks, Toyotas and what-not.)

Bummer. From the pics it looked to be ok. Anyway, good luck with the upgrades.

Don't you mean Hondas! Good luck with your upgrades, You know you might just be able to upgrade to an '03. I'm sure the thought crossed your mind.

That's right! HONDAS!!!

I thought about upgrading. Notice that I said "I". She didn't think about it. She now really, really loves the truck!! I kinda had my heart set on a 2WD PSD for Hawaii but oddly enough, there are none on the dealer's lots over there. Only 4x4. Nothing wrong with that though....

I only got a check for about 5K. Not enough for a new truck.

Rick, when they pull the grill off I'll inspect it and ask for it back if the damage isn't too bad. I'll take a pic and send it to you. If you like it and want it then I'll send it to you!

Giddy-up! Let me know what you want for it. I like the SD look. I've always thought the X grill looks cheesy for some reason.

Thanks.

"Seinfeld" is one of my favorite shows. I think I've seen just about every episode. Before the yard-apes came along I had time to watch tv.

Well, if you don't want anything for the grill at least I can pay the shipping. If it's not beat up I'd like to have it. Keep me informed.

I saw an X in saskatoon just before I bought mine.
It was a rental and the inside of the grill was packed (yes Packed with a capitol P) with insects and various other debries.

The damage to the radiator fins was incredible and I made a mental note to put something in mine before it happend to me.

So I put some metal door screen across the inside of the grill and just fit the grill back on over it.

I saw the truck that was beside mine in the lot so I had a look and sure enough, the rad fins were all beat up. I had a real tough time choosing between colors... red and dark blue. I originaly thought the blue was black till I had a close look at it.
In the end, the blue won out. It just seemed to be calling. But after looking at the red one later, what a shame, I wish I had bought them both.

Mine looks nice.
