Hi Guys & gals too !
Looking to buy a used X in the near future, I would like to buy one with the PSD but my main concern with that is I don't put many miles on in a years time, avg. around 6-7,000 mile/yr. It only takes about 10 minutes to drive to work & most of my wifes use will be short and sweet too. I am worried that if I purchased the PSD it would be hard on the engine since it wouldn't really have time to reach operating temperature. Any thoughts about that theory would be appreciated.
I'm new to this site and enjoy reading and learning about the X . This will be the first Ford I've bought since 1979, I had a 79 F-150 & 79 Bronco. Both really good trucks!! But I will be off brand for the company I work for, One of the other of the BIG 3! SSHhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Look forward to your replies
Thanks

Welcome, Tim. Having owned both a diesel and a V-10, I can tell you you don't need to get a diesel. I am in the same predicament as you. I used to drive 20+ miles to work. No I work 7 miles from home and my PSD wouldn't even get warmed up by the time I got to work. I have a Jeep I tow on a trailer occasionally but not enough to warrant a diesel.
I have an X with a V-10 now and it's really not *that* bad on gas unless you're constantly doing the stop/go thang. I would suggest you drive both to get a feel. I think you would be happy with a V-10.
