The rear disc brakes on my 2000 X have the calipers mounted on opposite sides of the rotor, Ford changed the mounting of the calipers soon after so they are on the same side of the rotor. Can anyone tell me why? Should I change mine?

Thanks,
gomobius

They used up the old supply.

No need.
