Ford University!
No, they have traing session with-in the shop they work at. If they require more specifics or specialization in something they are sent to a class usually with in their state. Ford pulls from all the dealers and runs a class usually out of a dealership in that state.
Last I checked most ford tech are ASE Certified. If that want to ASE Certified go here:

Thanks for the info Don....It's a tuff question. My dealer tells me you need to be a Ford employee to attend their training?!?! I'd pay for the course if someone could explain the ECU op codes and programming language. Maybe diablo gives courses
Thanks for the link! |

Those codes are highly guarded secrets. The ECU's/PCU's are coded in HEX and it's quite hard to decipher what is going on in there. That’s how the chip companies are making so much money as they have broken the code and can manipulate it accordingly.
Maybe I can help. Is there something specific your looking for?

Don,
No, not really I'm just having a hard time understanding why Ford is dogging their truck's so much?!? I just simply DON'T UNDERSTAND! I'm a bit of a hard head when it comes to engineering and if the rig can take it then why not make that the normal. I mean really!
I read on FORD tech's pages that chips/programmer can explode transmissions and blow holes in pistons and then I read on other web pages that guys are getting 400HP with 800lbs of torque and have no problems....what gives?!?
Are the engineers at FORD really that bad?? I don't think so because they designed the X in the first place. Maybe my frustration is with International and not Ford....
Don't get me wrong 325HP at 560lbs is very cool!!!!! the Best today.. Stock only, no one else has better HP/torque curves.
It just pisses me off that I have a $70,000 (Cdn) truck with less then 20,000 Km that leaks oil in my garage and I have to go to a third party to get better performance. Ford can't even keep the performance that they had.
I just can't figuare it out.
