My family and I just got back from a trip to San Mateo where I saw the biggest Excursion ever (FOR ME). Sitting next to it in my Stock Limited 4x4, my eyeballs were at the same height as the bottom of his window. Now don't get me wrong, I like a good lifted truck, but I think the thing that made me think this is TOO much were the wheels and tires. I could not read the size on the tire, but I have seen plenty of 20" rims....These made 20's look like my daughter's training wheels  . They must have been 24" rims with some sort of off road tire also. To sum it up, Liked the truck, but the wheels were just TOO DARN BIG. (I thought) Just thought I'd share. |

Yeah, The Big Wheels on Tall agressive tires for lifted 4x4's seem to be a new trend. I can't get used to the look of the really big wheels and don't really like them. I have never heard of 23's for large 4x4 type tires but I know Weld and some others now have 17's 18's and 20's as wide as 12" and Parnelli Jones are coming out with 40/15.50/17's 18's and 20's!

I would swear that the rims on the truck I saw were even bigger than that, and For Sure the Tires were larger and looked to be more aggressive. I'm not trying to offend anyone, I was just stating what I saw and thought....By the way...Nice Rig! |
