I'm trying to decide between a new X and an F-250 SD.

The X bodystyle is my preference but I prefer the way the F-250 rides. It feels like it's lighter on it's feet and "sportier".

I see many people here added swaybars to their trucks.

What benefits do these parts provide?

What are the most popular brands?

What do they cost?

TIA

the truck should feel lighter... it is about 1500 lb less IIRC...
and the Ex may have been designed for the soccer mom...
but with a little tweaking, it can do most of what you want...

a rear sway bar on any of these HEAVY trucks will help with the handling around corners, etc...
a rear Hellwig is very popular and can be had @ JC Whitney for the $114 range with about 20 for shipping.... this is what I did to my 02 4x2...

but i can "guarantee" adding a rear sway bar and something like the Diablo Predator will make the Ex feel as powerful as you could want...
