mods to be performed as follows

V code springs
4 inch rear blocks
landyot radius rods
hellwig rear sway

my question is what shocks have people found to be of their liking

the truck will never go off road and makes frequent trips to florida, so ride is the biggest consideration, i do not mind a firm ride, do do not want to be bounced out of the truck, have we seen any pro's and cons on adjustable, is it neccesary on street truck, money is not an issue just the best value for the buck, if i do not need the adjustables then money spent better else where

any input from anyone on shock upgrades appreciated, planning to do complete upgrade within month so want to get all parts together, only think yet waiting on are my radius rods...

thanks

Glenn - Since yours is a 2000 model, just about any shock upgrade should be a felt improvement (I'm basing this opinion on age of the shocks alone). I installed the Rancho RSX9000s on mine (2001 model @ abt 60K miles) and could not tell too much difference. If I had designed and installed my radius-rods first, I doubt that I would've bothered with replacing the shock absorbers at that time ... the rods smoothed out the ride in the rear tremendously. After I installed the Ranchos, I was still not happy with the ride quality, so that was the turning point which made me determined to design/build the radius-rods. But again, yours are probably due for replacement by now anyway.

PS - Your radius-rods should be ready towards the end of April.

correct i see some leakage coming from the front shocks, and some light clunking, so replacment is in order, even though i have only 51,000 miles on it, so would stock replacment gas shocks be a good alternative

No. Get some good name-brand aftermarket shocks. Bilsteins and Ranchos are popular for good reasons. They are good shocks. I would not spend the money on factory replacements.

Stay away from the stock replacements, they are junk and only last about 12k. Go with a set of quality aftermarkets like Bilstein, Elelbrock IAS`s or Rancho 9K`s. I put on a set of Bilstein`s and love them.
Part #`s Bilstein FRT BE5-6208-HO REAR BE5-6209-HO
Eldelbrock IAS " ED 33225 " ED 34225
Sorry, I don`t have the part #`s for the Rancho`s. You will be much happier with a quality shock.
