Hi everybody. I have been reading these posts for a while, and this topic has got me in knots! I have read a LOT of responses to this problem on other threads, but most don't apply to my X. PLEASE HELP!!! My 2000 X V10 4x4 has had a clank (or POP) sound under the drivers feet, which is getting WORSE!! It doesn't happen when parked and just turning the steering wheel, but it happens whenever there is any body roll during slow driving, uneven surfaces, turning on a bumpy road, etc... It ONLY makes the sound during situations where the track bar would be under pressure (keeping the axle from lateral movement). BUT, I have completely disassembled the track bar and everything is 100% fine. The pop/grinding/clanking is just under the drivers feet, or behind the front left tire. Some threads here say that it may be a REAR sway bar, but I do not have a rear sway bar. Or, a body mount bushing, but the sound is a sharp clank of a hammer (or grinding) rather than any "shifts" of the body! ALL the shocks have been replaced, and all shock bolts are tight. Sway bar links are tight, as well as sway bar bushings. I am OUT of options! PLEASE HELP! I hope there is someone out there that has solved this problem, and knows the source. :shake:
