Where are the Pics???

I'll have a few tomorrow.

Hey RottnDog,
I would love to see your new combo, your truck was one of my inspirations to lift a Ex.

Here's a photo of it still in the shop! No shocks, drive shafts or crossover steering installed yet... But it does have a healthy coat of Illinois Winter Road Salt!

It's coming together nicely,do those 3.5 inch hangers give you 3.5 inches of lift in addition to whatever your original lift is?

They are actually the 4.5" Edge hangers and they will yield 4.5 inches of additional lift in the front. If you have 6" springs in the front of the truck the addition of the hanger kit would give you 10.5 inches of lift in the front. Of course depending on how much lift you have you need to make other modifications like track bar relocation, longer shocks, crossover steering, driveshaft work, and adding additional lift to the back in the form of new leafs with additional arch to match up with the height in the front or blocks, shackle flip or a combination of all! Anything over the standard 8" lift kits and it can get kind of involved and $$$

MrRottnDog,

What is the diffence in the Fabtech hanger system, and the edge Hanger system. The Fabtech is alot less money.

Why sould I spend more?

I needed the extra inch of the edge 4.5 hanger kit. The edge Hanger kit is made much stronger than the fabtech... But does it need to be... probably not. In reality you probably will do just fine with the fabtech 3" hangers.

Now if your talking about the edge lift kit in the link you posted. The biggest difference in cost is the Bilstein shocks included with that kit. Far superior to the fabtechs.
