If you figure it out please post the results as I was considering purchasing some myself and would like to know if there are any issues with them. |

mongo i see from your pictures and i remember from one of your post a while back that you have the apc lights and you seemed to be pleased with them. is that still hold true and back to the first question how much triming do you have to do? going into the body shop tommorow or wed to get some other things done as well and would like to give these guys as much info as possible. |

The kit did come with instructions? Just follow the pic`s and trial fit the housings. You can always trim some more out.
1) Silicone the seams, they have a history of leaking. I`ve never had a problem in 2 1/2 years.
2)Replace the bulbs that come in them (all 6) with SilverStars or PIA`s before you install.
3)You have a wiring harness you have to install for the fogs and a switch.
4)Get a SUV wiring harness. Will increase the voltage to lights from 12.2v-12.4v to 14.2v-14.4v. Much brighter then stock.
5)Get a Brite Box or make your own. The dims will stay on with the brights.
6) Take it easy on the stock retaining clips. They are easy to break,$5 at Ford apiece. the body shop should have some laying around if you do.
Your going to have a shop put these in? It might take them 2 to 4 hours. It`s not a hard job. Just take your time. I can do it now in about an hour, complete. But I`ve done a few.

Mongo: Great looking X! Can you provide the stock number or moel number for the APC headlights. Just tried to look them up online, but was getting the Euro style ones instead.
Thanks!

Okay, since I am financially challenged (saving for Helwig and Radius Rods), I am going with the low end headlight mod . Her is a link to the products, just not sure what size the head lamp is on the 2000 X's:
