Just got done looking at it. There is no nut that can be accessed from underneath. If there is a "nut to be accessed, I will need to remove the driver side front wheel shield and reach into the body cavity to get to what might be the nut. I am so frustrated I am about ready to cross the line for the first time in my life and trade for a Suburban..... |

pop fix
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can tell you from personal experience what is causing your popping and possibly how to fix it for free-free labor that is.My 2000 would do this so one day I was told by a friend at work( i work at a caddilac dealership)that it is probably caused by the body mounts cab to chassis mounts the reason you feel it under your foot is thats exactly where the mount is pull your carpet back under your pedals and you will find a rubber plug pull this plug off.Under the plug is a 22mm bolt(I think thats the size) LOOSEN this bolt slightly and spray wd-40 or another penetrant down into the hole around the bolt head. Then loosen and tighten spray some more SOAK IT Down then retorque your bolt very snug or around 30 ft lbs.also spray down the under side of the mount SOAK IT test drive I think you will be pleased I was---------sharkwhit P.S.repeat for pass side
