I haven't seen an X with a front bench seat. You could obtain a 2nd-row bench from a salvage yard or eBay, and see about mounting it onto the front seat slider-assemblies ... but you'll need a way to adjust the fore-aft seat position from the driver-side only (hmmm ... wire the L & R seat controls to function simultaneously?). This actually sounds like an interesting idea. You'd have the found-down armrest of the 2nd row, and you could then install the style of video monitors that attach to the dual-post headrests. The downside is you'd lose that cavernous console ... which is where I keep a pair of fire extinguishers AND other junk, and you'll need to add a center set of seat belts. Hmmm ... you'd also lose the OEM seat heaters ... but they can be obtained aftermarket. Dang it all. Now ya' gone & done it! Got me thinkin' 'bout yet another mod!

Could one use the bench seat out of a late-model SuperDuty pickup? My F250 basically had a bench in the front. 60/40 split.

Shop ebay for the 20% section center.

They run around 100-150 bucks.

They are a direct bolt-in swap with the console EXCEPT you'll have to remove the armrests on your captains chairs.

Most that are sold include the lap belt.

Much more versitile than a full bench seat (Which BTW, will also be a direct bolt in.)
