Right now the tire is in a basket on the roof. I listen to more tunes than I change tires. The wife doesn't like that idea so I'm working on a swing arm to put it on the back like the old Bronco's but a little higher like a baja style I saw on another EX.

I like the idea of a swing out carrier, miss a few mods that my ole' jeep had, and thats a good one. If you got pics of that too, please send away. Also, did you build the sub box?

Both are pretty sweet. I like the swing away idea better, becasue of how often i use the rear cargo area. On the first carrier, any install/fab articles on that one, or either one actually.

Your guess is as good as mine on the swing away. I know there is a company down the street from me that makes the fold down type but I'm not sure how much. I guess once you made a base for the swing arm the rest would be easy. Just a couple of good bearings and a latch from a jeep swing out should do it.
