Another web source for air horns and accessories:

http://www.groverairhorns.com

Listen to the systems at this link:

http://www.groverairhorns.com/sounds.html

I haven't ordered anything from this firm, but have simply seen their web page.

I fully understand the need to get the attention of the exceptionally stupid. Makeup, cell phone, and completing ones wardrobe seem to make up the morning drivetime triathlon here in the LA area and the real overachievers can usually be found adding breakfast or even book reading to the fun. The EX allows you to catch the book & breakfast show that the lessor vehicles drivers never see

As for the air horns I have been using a WOLO Challenger as the stock replacement, it comes with 2 trumpets and it's own small compressor and it all fits nicely under the hood, mine is just to the center of where the washer reservoir/battery tray support is, the trumpets face forward through an opening I cut in the rubber flap that runs down the side of the radiator. It is much louder than stock, with more of a big rig sound.....it's not as loud as the grovers or the hadleys but it does fit nicely under the hood and it was under $100.00

For the exceptionally stupid or inattentive drivers I have a second set of horns that I have only temporarily hooked up but they will wake the dead....I'm going to run these off of the 20lb. C02 tank that I'm installing as an air supply for tires & air bags....and they will be on a separate switch from the regular horn. Just from testing them with the C02 tank at 120psi they are the loudest horns I have heard short of the Nathan 3 or 5 chime horns that are on the locomotives.....the web site claims 148-152db @ 100psi. They WILL get everyones attention. The set I got is the 4 black horn set.

I finally got around to installing the Whelen HFS295S2 and a FS TS100 speaker on the Excursion last April.

Nothing gets the attention of inattentive/errant drivers better than Public Safety systems but the exception would be a Nathan K5LA setup

Just my .02

I prefer my ahuga (sp) horn. My kids got it for me and it really turns heads. Stupid people will usually ignore just about any horn no matter how loud. Lets face it, if they miss your truck right next to them, they are in never never land. This one will make em take a second look. Even if it is to see just who has that rasty sounding horn. I just beg that you don't compare it to a musical horn.....

I do like the air horn setups though!
