Just got a call from the service department. That little door lock problem is being diagnosed as we speak, it will only cost about $300.00 in diagnostic fees because one of the acctuators shorted and they must disassemble each door to find which one it is. This thing is new to me by two weeks and if you remember, i just had to have a new tranny put in week one after purchase. Come to find out, the salesman who told me that AutoNation offers a 3 month/3 k mile warranty on all used car purchases wasn't exactly honest (what a shocker). The extended warranty I purchased with the vehicle covers everything except electrical. That is with the exception of the a/c and heater. I am so teed off right now, it is probably bettter that I can't jump in the X and head over there. Might just find the sales guy and on the old desk. Kind like Gregory Hines did in that movie when he was selling arms and torched the guys car.
This is the first used car I have ever had any trouble with. The last one I put over 100k on and traded it on this one. Guess sooner or later everyone gotta get burned.

Sometime or another, somebody comes across a bad apple. However, if after these two instances you still have problems, I'd look to sell ,,, or trade for another X. I haven't bought a new vehicle since 1986 (I did buy a new car trailer in '97, but it's always being towed). Often, after a couple major items are corrected, you'll get years of carefree service ... and I hope that's the case in your situation. My old '87 F350 had 43K miles on the clock when I bought it from Navy surplus. I, too, had to have the tranny rebuilt soon afterwards, but that thing never left me stranded until a 7-year old battery wouldn't start it one morning in my driveway (and I bought a used X the next month). Good luck with yours!
