I bought the 2-volume factory repair manual from the same place Ford gets them (link below). The price was about half of what a local dealer wanted, and I also bought a 3rd volume of electrical diagrams. Well worth the price, and miles above Chilton or Haynes. All together, I think it was around $230 for the 3 volumes ... but I've already saved several times that amount in dealer service.

Thanks for the lead on the manuals!
I have to agree completely:

Glad to have helped you some. BTW, those factory original manuals also sell well on eBay. Some folks I lived with were going to toss out a 1991 F-Series service manual, but I was able to sell it on eBay for $90. So keep your manuals in good shape because you can unload them later. |
