Hello,
When I had all my "MODS" listed on the site I mentioned a future installation of a Water/Methanol/Ethanol injection system. Some folk asked if it had been done and now it has.
I chose the Methanol injection system over propane purely for the cooling effect although I do get a boosting or aided catalyst using a mixture of 50 % water 50 % methanol better known as windshield washer fluid. Oh ya, the price was a big factor!!! I got the whole unit on line for $240 yep $240!!! That included everything.
I actually added items to make the unit dual stage. I needed for those big hilly roads here in New Jersey...
How it works-
I tapped 2 holes in the intake side of the intercooler line just before the heads. 2 holes for dual stage explained below. Each nozzle was gauged at 5gph (gallons per hour) and find that the atomization is adequate although I will be getting the 10gph nozzle for second stage.
A relay is triggered from boost @ approx 8lbs allowing a solenoid to be opened turning on the pump running at 100psi to send fluid to the "nozzle". When the pump turns on there is a slight steady boosting effect as turbo boost rises. The pump shuts off at 6psi and the solenoid closes so there is no siphoning effect.
I took it one step further as mentioned above. I added a second pressure switch, when reaching 12lb boost a second solenoid is opened adding twice as much mixture and presto the EGT’s are staying 100-300 degrees cooler!
I have tested this time and time again over the past 2-3 weeks and find on average with 1 stage on with a 30ft 8000lb trailer my EGT’s are 130 degrees cooler under load. With both stages on, the EGT’s are 280 degrees cooler.
I have been told if I use purely distilled water the cooling effect will be greater.

Don,
That's some of the coolest shit I've heard. You should write a white paper with pictures.
Also, what ever happened to the PSD X-Fest? Was it cancel do to the lack of interest.?
