Hello,
I've only got one working key for my 2000 and need to program a new spare key. In the manual, it states that if you have TWO working keys you can easily program the third by going from the second position on the ignition to the fourth position with one key the repeat with the second key, then do same with the new key. The manual says you have to take it into ford if you only have ONE working key.
Well, I've only got one working key. When I bought the truck, I had the same problem. However, a ford tech programmed the second key somehow while in the truck.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?

If you only have one key you will need to go to the dealer. They have the proper scan tools (NGS or WDS)Spare key programming requires two or more keys .The dealer will probably charge about $90.00 |

Actaully I had my 2nd key programmed for $35 US. I called all my local dealers and went with the cheapest one.
