Who has had there gas motors do this. I was told that the converter shield needs to have something betweeen it and the tranny as its making all the hissing at 1900-2000 rpm's. I will try to put some dimple's it the sheild tomorrow and see if this cheap mod works on the sound

Instead of the dimples, add a piece of cork gasket. I know it will work, as it has for me. |

I would check your heat shields, too. A hose clamp will fix it quite easily.
