Looking for info on rear bumpers. My local dealer wants 600 big ones for a chrome one and a ll the local aftermarket stores insist that there is nothing made and that a Superduty rear bumper won't fit. Any body have any suggestions?

Thanks

Scott

PS- Will finally post some pics of the beast very soon.

Does the $600 figure include installation? If so, that's not a bad deal. If it's $600 just for the chrome part, you need to find a dealer's parts department that's willing to deal. I replaced mine when I damaged it in 2003, paid $255 for the chrome bumper, $109 for the bumper-frame (behind the chrome), $20 for the center plastic piece, and $18 for the top plastic. I transferred the reverse sensors & license plate lights from the old bumper. I cannot say whether the SD truck bumper will fit or not.

Scott,
Take a look at the RanchHand rear bumper replacements. The thread below has the link and pics.
The bumper can tow 10,000 lbs and has back up light s, No hitch needed.

Thanks Clayton and Landyot for your input. The Ranchhand bumper just may be the ticket.
