OK,
please take this in the manner it is presented...
(or better yet, take it in the manner I MEANT to present it,
since I screw up continually and hear from the betta half "It's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it!" )
This is NOT an attempt to start a flame war or anything - I am REALLY curious...
and just like when a new product comes out - I will investigate it to see if it will help me...
I am curious about the performance of the V10 (both new and old) versus the 6-oh....
Does anyone have time slips or real world comaprison between the X with a V10 and a 6.0 ?
Tried to get this answered elsewhere and only got theoretical "academia" mathmatics - which don't prove a thing to me
thanks in advance !

I don't have time slips or any other type of evidence; but the V10 (as I've stated elsewhere) is the gas alternative to the 7.3 or 6.0 with some obvious differences. I read about a "drag race" between 2 F-250s one a 2003 6.0 and the other a V10 (I'm not sure what year but it was definately the 2v version). From what I vaguely remember, the V10 won. It won because it's a gas engine and had a manual tranny, so naturally it will accelerate faster. Anybody whos driven one knows that the V10 has alot of torque (for a gas engine) down-low and it doesn't bottom out until you're well into overdrive. The 6.0 however; was able to keep up and not lose by too much. It was actually at the rear bumper (and holding) by the time both trucks reached the finish line. It seemed like a relatively fair run because of the EVRT (Electronic Variable Response Turbo, in case you didn't know ) on the 6.0 and the 5-speed auto. As for the new 3-valve V10s out there, I don't know. But I'm sure it's a heck of alot faster now.
I could be wrong about alot of this, but somehow, I don't really feel like I've answered your question. I hope this atleast gives you an idea about things. |

Go to bankspower.com, spend a little money on a six gun tuner, upgraded exhaust and air intake! Then go race Mustangs, not slow gas guzzling V10's. |
