Hi All,
Just wondering if any of you have or know of someone that has converted there 6.8l to an alternative fuel?
I just bought my 2000 excursion and have been trying to research it on the internet but am not finding any shops that sell the parts or that could do the conversion.
Thanks for any input!

Kinda curious myself. I keep wanting to buy one of those Hybrid decals for the back of mine and then take it on the HOV lanes from Va to DC. Come on fella's. Someone has looked into this on here I am sure. |

I have saw a website that stated that switching to e-85 was as simple as changing some jet.....and that the electronic fuel computers would re-adjust...but i'd like to know if anyone has seen any real websites that sell the conversion kits or of any shops that actually do it.

You think you get crappy mileage now! Just switch to E-85!!!!!!!!!! My van is multi-fuel capable and it clearly states in the manual that you'll have 20-30% LESS mileage out of using E-85. Plus, you'll be down on power. Plus it's too expensive and hard to find. (well...here anyway.) So what's the point of it, really?
V10 can be had in a propane propelled mode but it , too, runs in to the same problems as running E-85.
