I also poted this at the other forum- I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts about it over here.
This weekend I took out my 2000 EX (4wheel drive v-10, 27000 miles) and it started to make a clunk which can be felt in the steering wheel. I only notice it when the wheel is cut (either side) and I begin to straighten out at very low speed. Typically, its when you back out of a parking space, put in Drive and start straightening out the wheel -a definate "CLUNK" and the steering wheel jerks slightly. Every thing else seems fine- no problems at all. Normal driving is as good as ever.
I'll have to get underneath it to see whats going on this Friday or Saturday.
Any suggestions what to look at or check first?
I would check the tie rod end first. Then check out the steering stablizer for a bent rod or signs of leakage. I have a sound like that after coming out of reverse but its the rear drive shaft slip yoke banging and begging for me to replace the lube that was once inside that little boot. Let us know what you find out.
