My tires have been replaced and balanced numerous times. I still get some shaking between 60and 70 mph. They feel like they are out of balance but are not. I have had the brakes checked, alignment, suspension, etc. and I still get the vibration.(Shake in the wheel and vibration in the seat) This happened even with the stock tires and rims and pre lift kit. The new set up is 16x8 Verde wheels with Goodyear ATS 305/70-16 and I have a Fabtech four inch lift on a 2WD They have been high speed balanced and roadforced too. Every aspect of the tires and wheels is well within spec. Road force is between 14 and 22lbs per tire. They have been counter balanced with all weights on the inside lip and have also tried stick on weights on the inside closest to the outside edge of the wheel and snap on weights on the interior lip. Most have at least 6-8 ounces of weight on each side. The tires were even reordered because the thought was they were defective. The rims are absolutely true. The shaking is intermitent and on the same stretch of highway can be fine one day and not the next. Any one had a similar experience and can give some insight? It's driving me @#$%@##!

Check your driveshaft(s) ... most likely the rear one. Pay particular attention to the transmission's output shaft and the differential's input (pinion) shaft. They should both be at the same angle (check it with a degree indicator). If they're not at the same angle, a good 4x4 shop can insert some angled shims in your leaf spring stack to correct this situation.

This angular misalignment has been found by at least two Excursion owners I know of. And both found this to be true with an unmodified suspension ... no lift ... just like it came from the factory.

LANDYOT- thanks for the advice I will have the rear driveshaft checked out as it is only a 2WD truck and therefore only the single driveshaft.
