Has anyone found in necessary to replace the weather stripping that is mounted on the roof as the secondary door seal at top. Mine is ok except that it gets wet, dries out and then squeaks like an old lady piled under a sale at the mall! It seems a lot stiffer than the foam around the primary door edge next to the door window frame. Thanks for any feedback! |

The owners manual suggested maintenance schedule includes an item for "dressing" all weatherstripping ... I think about once every 6,000K miles or so. I dress them every time I wash mine, and this is the only place I use ArmorAll. There are some very good silicone treatments available, too. And Lemon Pledge works well for this, and for making your tires look new without making them shiney. Plus, the Pledge leaves a nice aroma afterwards. |
