My family has a 2000 Excursion. I ordered Ventshades for all four doors. I did a trial fit, and they aren't even close to fitting on the window frame. I also have them on a zr2 blazer, and they fit perfectly on the window frame. Ventshade and Summit promise me this is the correct part number. Any thoughts? I didn't know if there was something peculiar about the 2000 Excursions that would cause the problem (eg: mid year model change). The back windows are an inch too long and the fronts are also too long...

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you purchase the "Peel & Stick" version ventshades or the "In-Channel" type like Weathertech Weatherflectors

If you got the peel and stick variety they attach to the paint and not the black weatherstripping. I used to have them and noticed that they exceed the window by the measurements you specified. This is normal as the ones I had on a Grand Cherokee fit with some degree of overlap as well. As far as i know, all EX"s from 2000 on have body panels that are essential the same dimensions. My buddy has peel and stick ventshades for his F250 and they line up near perfect on the weatherstriping. I do believe ones are available that have a more exact fit for the EX but not certain if Ventshades manufactures them.

I think I saw some on eBay that slip inside the window channel, and do not stick to the paint. I'd get a set if I didn't already have the sticky ones.

Thanks alot for the quick replies. I think we are going to return them and possibly try the weather techs. I'm not a big fan of sticking anything to the paint of a vehicle. Thanks AGAIN

From the get go on the peel and stick variety I always felt they were best that lowered Chebby Stepside cruising in East LA

I'm for the expensive OEM look personally

I have the stick-on type from Ford. They are not a perfect fit like others have said. I just ordered the Weathertech in channel one to replace the Ford ones. If anyone wants the old ones let me know. I'd be happy to get shipping cost plus $5 or $10 rather than have them laying around.
