Eric, I had to replace my ball joints at 70k miles. Actually, the drivers side were bad and I chose to replace both sides. My mechanic (used to be a team lead at the local Ford shop) checked on OEM joints but non were greasable. So I went with NAPA. Even with the risk of dirt and moisture, I felt that the greasables had to give me better life than 70K.

Here's what I do and have done for a long time. I get a Hypodermic Type Grease Injector from Advance Auto or equal and grease all those sealed ball joints. I have never had to replace a ball joint or tie rod end (in 50 years of driving) that I have greased on a regular basis. Grease-in keeps dirt and water-out! Sometimes you can drill and tap a hole in the sealed ball joint and screw in a Zerk -just be careful to pick out the chips.
