just bought my X a few days ago and am pretty happy except for the ride. have doing a lot of searching on the shocks. heres what i found. sears has a promotion where they will put on your monroe or rancho shocks for free.plus you get a lifetime warranty with them. PLUS monroe has a $75 rebate for the reflex shock. i think the money has to be spent from the place where you buy the shocks. you can download a rebate form from monroe website. you can buy the reflex at sears for 59 apiece and that is installed. for the do it yourselfers you can buy them for 47.88 at your favorite auto store and with the rebate that is a pretty good deal. my wife drives the thing and my boat only weights 3500 pounds so i think the reflex will work since i dont off road or have a huge boat. needed the space as family of 5 and have lots of big toys to haul around.plus my boat has a 351 in the middle of it and its just not right to pull a ford with a ch#y. |

I put the reflex on mine about 2K miles ago, I have been real happy with them. I noticed less bouncing, and I don't hit the bump stops like I used to. Like you I don't off road too much, but I do pull a 28ft trailer. I had some sway issue, but I think once I install the hellwig sway bar that issue will be resolved.  |

ok i misread rebate form. it is $25 instead of 75 but it is still a good deal.truck handles series of bumps much beter now and doesnt hit frame stops anymore. |
