The Steeltex AT's will fare much better in the snow than the Scorpion STR's anyday.
The Scorpion AT's which we have has a much much more agressive tread than the Steeltex and have had no prob handling ice and snow with the new Scorps.
I can imagine the feeling of slipin and slidin all over the road tho

I hate to say it, but I would get rid of those tires if you do much driving in the snow. Get a set of Bridgestone A/T Revos. They are much better than the OEM Firebomb ATs, especially in the snow. We get about 100" a year here. |

Ok this is a little off the subject but still about tires. as yall know I lifted the 4X2 Ex, and I put Nitto's on it and I have this wabble going on, the Discount tire guy said that when you go with BIGGER TIRES ( 315's) they will do that and it will get worse as the tires wear. it feels to me like they didnt balance them. but they say this is normal~ HELP???????????
It really is all about size!!!!!! |

Brian when I went from the standard size tires on my lifted 85 Jimmy to the much larger/wider Mickey Thompson Baja Belted tires I had a wobble that would kick in when I'd hit the right bump in the road, the only fix I could do was adding a dual steering stabilizer set and playing with the tire pressures which cleared up the wobble.
The Centramatic wheel balancers work very well with oversized tires,I would have gotten a set back then but they weren't available, give them a try?
