When I had my truck in the shop for some AC work, the mechanic didn't fully replace the passenger side C-pillar interior trim piece. One tab wasn't inserted and now the top is loose at the headliner.

I can see the tab on the piece and where its supposed to be inserted, but even the mechanics at another shop couldn't get it back in. They said there might be some type of extension.

Does anyone happen to know about attaching this trim piece?

I don't have first-hand experience with that particular piece. You could try asking over at TheDieselStop.com forum since a lot of those guys install pillar-mounted gauge pods.

If it were me, I'd go back to the AC shop to give them one more chance ... and/or let them know that a Ford dealer will fix it and the cost will be back-charged to them.

Unfortunately it was a Ford dealer who took it off and couldn't replace it, and a different dealer the second time who didn't know what to do either.

You would think "factory training" would at least give them an idea of where to look for answers.
