You're going to mount the lights to the plastic piece below the rear doors? Why not just take the plastic piece off and take it into the house for a few days. I've taken mine off a couple times to clean it, and it isn't too difficult. Worth thinking about, anyway.

Did any wire this in permanently? Or is everyone using the plug that connects to the trailer hitch? I could see up here in the snow in the winter, that migth cause some increase troubles if the connector is plugged in all the time. Corrosion, etc....
Also, Recon makes a nice line of fire lights, that has White LED reverse lights as well. It cost a bit more, but I bet the additional light when backing up is nice....

| Quote: | As I continue to spruce up my newly purchased 2003 Excursion I decided to buy the Line of Fire LED tail lights (www.premiermotoring.net/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_main.html?catid=1130). But I have a question.
The installation instructions recommend installing the lights http://www.niceledlights.com with the temp above 60 degrees for at least 24 hours. I am in Chicago and it will not be 60 degrees for 3 more months! The concern of course is the adhesion properties of the double sided tape used for installation.
Sooo...should I worry about installing on a 30 degree day?? I guess if it comes off I can buy more tape but would rather not have an issue. Any help is appreciated.
And I do not have access to a heated garage, etc.
Thanks! |
I have recently got led lights. But it looks less bright. Can I increase it |
