I have a question. I own a 2000 Excursion 2WD with the stock rims and tire size. I been wondering if 18 inch rims with 275/65/18 tires would fit in the wheel well without rubbing when I'm turning? thanks for any responds

Based on my experience with the 2WD, I would think you could get away with the tire and rim combo you want. You may have to go with a lower profile tire, but i have seen a number of 2WD Excursions with 20's or larger. I would contact your local aftermarket truck accessory store or a few tire retailers in your area to see if they have have done an X. I have a 6" lift on my two wheel drive and 305/70-16 tires so if you are good with numbers and can do the conversion, you should be able to figure out what will work with the stock set-up. When i was looking at tire and wheel combos, my local guy had some wheels he test fitted to see what would and would not work. Also, a quality tire shop could help you with converting the tire sizes to "real" numbers and advise you on fit. Good luck and keep us posted.

thanks for the responds. Well I decided not to get the 18 inch rims. After racking my brains over this I thought my truck will not have that nice wheel well spacing as the 4x4s. It would look nice if I had a 4x4 so I decided I'll get the newer Limited version rims for the Excursion.
