I’m looking for some tips and/or tricks on removing and replacing a passenger-side Borla header on my V10. Borlas’ instructions only indicate to remove the fender well but that is it. They do not say if it goes up through the bottom or it goes down in through the top. And, is that really all that needs to be removed?

This removal/replacment is due to finding a weld that let go on the driver-side Y-pipe flange where the header and Y-pipe join . It was cracked approx. ½ ways around. The replacement Y-pipe Borla sent took about a month to get to me . While wire brushing the header flange on the passenger-side header to prepare Y-pipe install I noticed the weld on the header flange was also cracked about ½ ways around Borla told me to put it back together and they would build me another header and send it out . I noticed when installing/tightening the Y-pipe everything gets pretty tight and I believe that is what caused the cracks; fatigue from the constant pressure from where the pipe is not bent just right.

People, KEEP your receipts if you purchase from Borla. Without it, their nice million mile warranty is just about useless . Anyway, thanks for your tips and taking the time to read my ranting post.
